Please note: Fringe beads are available in these colors ONLY: purple, aqua blue, sapphire blue, crystal, red, and burgundy.

Please note: Instructions for stringing the fringe beads are not included with the pattern although a brief description is given below. You will need to supply a strong thread and a beading needle.

To string the fringe: The beads should be removed from the 'tape' on which they come before beginning the fringe. There will may be extra beads if you do as we did, removing some beads so that all fringes would be uniform. With a beading needle and a strong thread (nymo, or fishing line are good choices), hook into one selvedge at a lower corner on the inside of the purse. Come "out" through with the nymo wherever you want the first fringe to be. String the beads in whatever order you like, going through the center-hole beads first. Go through the drop at the bottom and then back up through the center-hole other beads again. Re-enter the purse at the place where you first came "out" for this fringe. Tie a small knot around the knitting thread on the inside of the purse to 'anchor' this fringe. Snake the thread through purl 'blips' on the inside of the knitting to get to the location of the next fringe. Repeat this pattern across the bottom of the purse until all fringes are strung. Knot the thread securely into the selvedge at this side of the purse before cutting the thread.
